Associate Director, ICCI

The Academic Engagement Network* (AEN) seeks an experienced, highly motivated, and detail-oriented person to fill the role of Associate Director for the Improving the Campus Climate Initiative (ICCI). This is a full-time position reporting to ICCI’s Director. AEN operates as a remote work team and welcomes applicants from across the U.S. for this position. There is an expectation of frequent supported travel to campuses and to AEN events and meetings around the country. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.

Position Overview

The Associate Director, ICCI will:

Cultivate and Steward Relationships with Campus Administrators

  • Identify the campuses most in need of AEN support and develop and implement strategies for securing engagements at those institutions.
  • Be responsible for bringing administrators into the AEN network through online and in-person workshops and in-depth professional development opportunities, as well as by
    serving as a thought partner and resource in addressing challenges.
  • Work in partnership with the ICCI’s Director to build and foster relationships with key administrators that lead to deeper engagements over time.

Develop Educational Materials, Resources, and Programming

  • Help enhance and further develop written and interactive materials for use in campus antisemitism awareness education and training programs.
  • Develop mechanisms to evaluate ICCI’s offerings and measure the impact of ICCI programs.
  • Organize and help lead AEN-sponsored webinars, trainings, professional development workshops, and other programming for campus administrators, including managing logistics for a year-long professional development program, which includes annual in-person experiences in Washington, DC, and Israel.

Foster a national network of administrators committed to combating antisemitism and promoting Jewish inclusion on campus and find and develop opportunities to integrate AEN’s administrator and faculty networks.

  • Help deepen relationships with administrators and faculty in AEN’s networks.
  • Coordinate closely with the AEN’s Member Engagement Team to leverage the faculty network in engaging and deepening relationships with campus administrators.

Desired Skills and Experience

Applicants should be knowledgeable about the history and diversity of the Jewish people, contemporary antisemitism, Israel, and Zionism, and should have experience conveying information on these topics to diverse audiences. A well-developed understanding of the campus and DEI spaces is also crucial.

In addition, applicants should have a clear record of achievement in program/project management and a track record of working in community-building, membership, and/or networking organizations. Candidates should have knowledge of effective practices for recruitment and engagement for groups in which backgrounds vary widely. Applicants for this job must be excellent team players who can contribute to the overall success of the organization. They will be driven by AEN’s mission, team culture, and strategic direction.

There is a general expectation that the Associate Director, ICCI will be well-versed in various computer systems and software and that they will be able to complete crucial administrative tasks related to the work of the ICCI team.

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000, commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off (including Jewish and federal holidays), paid family leave, and 401k with match.
