National Outreach Director

Overview: The National Outreach Director will be the primary staff member responsible for broadening the base of pro-Israel campus activists on key outreach campuses, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, and Christian colleges. In this role, they will identify and develop personal relationships with student influentials and pro-Israel activists on key outreach campuses. The National Outreach Director will report to the Chief Political Officer and work closely with ICC’s Field Team. The National Outreach Director will oversee ICC’s engagement on key outreach campuses, promote pro-Israel activism and advocacy, and recruit students to attend national ICC training seminars and mission trips. 

Duties, Responsibilities, and Functions

  • Identify and build relationships with key outreach campus leaders and activists at key Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, and Christian colleges
  • Educate key outreach campus leaders and activists about the US-Israel relationship and encourage their involvement in pro-Israel activism on campus
  • Support ICC’s Regional Directors in efforts to engage outreach constituencies on high-risk campuses 
  • Travel to key outreach campuses as needed
  • Recruit participants for national ICC trainings and mission trips 
  • Plan and implement trainings and mission trips in coordination with ICC’s Field Team
  • Assist the Chief Political Officer with various departmental and organizational responsibilities 
  • Conduct strategic consultations and troubleshoot issues with student leaders 
  • Execute sophisticated grassroots mobilization campaigns to defeat anti-Israel initiatives 
  • Manage and allocate a grant pool for student pro-Israel programming 
  • Ensure effective coordination and collaboration among national pro-Israel organizations

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-6 years of related experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to cultivate strong personal relationships with diverse constituencies 
  • Familiarity with Israel and relevant outreach constituencies 
  • Practical knowledge of effective approaches to political organizing and grassroots activism
  • Experience with recruiting for events and trips
  • Experience with campus advocacy 
  • Leadership experience
  • A creative, entrepreneurial, and open-minded temperament
  • Previous peer-advising experience 
  • Experience working on a political campaign or in grassroots/community organizing (preferred)
