May 20, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT
Adela Cojab Moadeb is a published author, Israel activist, and recent graduate from NYU, where she built a concentration in Middle Eastern Diaspora Structures and Social Exclusion.
As a Student, she was president of Realize Israel, a Senator on NYU Student Government, and served as the official representative of Jewish Students for the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Before graduating, Adela filed a Title VI complaint with the Office of Civil Rights against NYU for failing to protect the Jewish community from consistent harassment. Her work, from political advocacy to interfaith peace rallies, has been recognized by national and international organizations, including her designation as a Broome and Allen Fellow, Jewish Week 36 Under 36 of 2018, and PROPEL Network 30 Under 30 of 2020, among others.
Adela is a Syrian-Lebanese Jew born in Mexico City, Mexico, and raised in Deal, New Jersey.
