IAC Mishelanu, Hillel International, JAFI, JIMENA, Masa Israel – “Hagiga Mimouna”

IAC Mishelanu, Hillel International, JIMENA, the Jewish Agency for Israel and Masa Israel invite you to celebrate Hagiga- Mimouna! A taste of North-African Jewish Culture in Israel! We will feature live music, Mizrachi Dancing, Mimouna hopping, authentic Mimouna cuisine and a panel featuring Mizrachi feminists.

The first 25 students to register get a fun surprise to their email! There will also be a raffle during the panel!

Mizrachi Feminism Panel

Continue the Mimouna celebration with a panel of female Mizrachi activists and authors. Join us as they share their powerful stories of triumph, walking us through making Aliyah and the current challenges that they continue to face today. The panel will be moderated by Mor Homri, UGA Israel Fellow

• Gina Walden, founder and President of JIMENA (Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa)
• Lipaz Ela, Jewish Agency Israel Fellow for Hillel at UCLA
• Reut Naggar, Israeli producer, cultural entrepreneur, social activist and founder/co-owner of WDG.

Belly Dancing Class

Move your body like a belly dancer! Drop in for a fun Mizrachi dance class with Miriam Peretz. Learn traditional Yemenite and Moroccan dance, celebrate Mizrachi tradition and heritage.
